The Healing Power of Music…

This project was born from a need for mental health support without long waitlists. When the project began, Nzara felt there was little out there in terms of mental health help. Levi enlisted his expertise in both psychiatry and music to remedy this unfortunate gap in support.

Through Save our Scene, Reform Radio, and Music and Mind, Levi taught Nzara music production and more. This allowed her to improve her skills in creating music whilst also exploring a complex emotional journey.

The work was evaluated by Dr. Alison Dunkerley, a third-party child psychiatrist who was brought in as an external consultant.

Our Event…

Our event will showcase the music created by Nzara throughout this project. As well as featuring DJs; Levi Love, Stallone, and NAM, and live musician Zak Alexander, who share a passion for the ethos of the project.
Nzara gives us an insight into her set, saying; "My set will make you bop your head, tap your feet, and give you the feels."

In the spirit of the project, we want to make this event as accessible as possible. Therefore we are choosing not to ticket this show. Instead, we have set up a GoFundMe to raise the money needed to pay for the venue and hopefully set Nzara up with music production equipment of her own.

The event begins at 8pm at Band on the Wall, and will open with an introductory presentation at 8:30pm followed by live performances from our musicians
