ABOUT THE ARTIST

Compass is a DJ/Producer from Manchester, learning his craft whilst based in Newcastle, and honing that throughout 8 years in London. Having had an upbringing where making music was always the light at the end of the tunnel, this determination has been ever-present in his musical career to date.

Compass is known for, as his name suggests, guiding dancefloors on an eclectic journey of ethereal and groove-filled deep & progressive house. Over the last few years, he played many of the most high profile clubs in London, and held a residency at the UK’s leading Melodic House/Techno brand - Parable. 

He initially self-released two EP’s which garnered attention from industry giant, Bicep, and leading online music editorial ‘The Ransom Note’, his first signed EP on Concrete Kin went straight to #1 in the Progressive House genre on Beatport, and #8 in the Global Releases chart.

Having moved to Amsterdam in 2022, his output is as varied as the places and scenes he has been influenced by over his career. From high-energy progressive house with trance overtones on his own label, Redshift; to pop-leaning collaborations with vocalist Molly Moonshine. He is truly unafraid to go against the grain of what is 'popular' and 'cool' instead creating dancefloor-ready beats that won’t be found anywhere else.
